Service History

Registered  -  29/03/1959

1964        Tonsillectomy No 1   Apparently they didn’t use enough anaesthetic and I started coming  round on the operating table so it was only a partial job.

1965        Tonsillectomy No 2

1973        Failed an eye sight test at school and started wearing specs

1992        Cartilage operation to fix a torn meniscus.

2014        Bike crash resulting a shattered acetabulum (part of the pelvis) and broken  radius (forearm).  Both fixated with plates.

2017 Bladder neck incision operation required to restore normal pee function.  Not an investigation or procedure for the squeamish.

2018 Blood pressure medication commenced

2018 Basal cell carcinoma, also known as a rodent ulcer.  Mild skin cancer removed from left  cheek and requiring subsequent minor plastic surgery.

2020 Bike crash resulting in a dislocated forefinger and a broken clavicle and snapped shoulder ligament.  Fixated with a plate and an artificial ligament.

2021 Bike crash resulting in a broken femur.  Fixated with a plate.

2022 Hearing test confirms what I’ve suspected for years.  Hearing aids.

Plus the usual increasing assortment of childhood illnesses, pulled muscles, twisted knees, painful Achilles tendons and occasional back spasms.
